Massive global demonstrations in support of Palestine and to demand accountability for Israel

In the German capital, Berlin, thousands of people demonstrated from the Brandenburg Gate toward the city center, chanting slogans such as "Israel is a terrorist" and "Freedom for Palestine," and calling on the German government to halt arms shipments to Israel. The march saw clashes with police, who used violence and arrested a number of participants.


In the French capital, Paris, a demonstration was held in support of the ceasefire in Gaza, attended by activists and healthcare workers who previously worked in hospitals in the Strip.


Protesters demanded the release of medical teams detained by Israel, including Dr. Hussam Abu Safia, as well as the lifting of the blockade and the entry of humanitarian and medical aid into Gaza.


The Swiss capital, Bern, also witnessed a large demonstration attended by thousands in support of Palestine and protest against Israeli practices.


Protesters headed toward the federal parliament building before police intervened to disperse them using tear gas and water cannons, claiming the demonstration was unauthorized. Police reported a fire in the area, while some protesters attempted to blockade the central train station.


In 27 Australian cities, including Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, and Cairns, massive marches took place demanding sanctions on Israel and an end to funding for the war on Gaza. Protesters held up signs reading "Israel get out of Gaza and the West Bank" and "Stop funding genocide."

In Melbourne, Indigenous Australian Senator Dina Thorpe said , "The genocide continues despite talk of a ceasefire," while activist Mai Seif affirmed that she would continue protesting until Palestine is free.



In the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, thousands of citizens gathered in a demonstration celebrating the ceasefire in Gaza, reiterating their rejection of any form of normalization with Israel and condemning the attacks targeting the West Bank, including raids and arrests.

A solidarity march was also held in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, during which participants raised Palestinian flags and demanded the acceleration of the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza.


In London, one of the largest European marches in support of Palestine took place. Approximately half a million demonstrators participated, according to organizers, demanding an end to arms sales to Israel and an end to the occupation of Palestinian territories.

In the Italian city of Milan, demonstrators raised slogans condemning the Israeli war on Gaza, demanding an end to the aggression and the reconstruction of what was destroyed by the bombing. Protesters in Oslo, the capital of Norway, also called for the closure of the Israeli embassy and the severing of ties with Tel Aviv.

In the Dutch city of Maastricht, the Plant an Olive Tree Foundation organized a memorial service for children and journalists killed in the war on Gaza. The event took place in front of the historic St. Servaas Church, where photos and names of the victims were displayed, and thousands of children's shoes were placed in the square in honor of the war's victims.

With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 8, 2023, over the course of two years. This has left 67,682 martyrs and 170,033 wounded, most of them children and women, and caused a famine that claimed the lives of 463 Palestinians, including 157 children.


On Thursday, US President Donald Trump announced that Israel and Hamas had reached an agreement on the first phase of his ceasefire and prisoner exchange plan, following indirect negotiations between the two sides in Sharm el-Sheikh, with the participation of Turkey, Egypt, and Qatar, and under US supervision.
