The Lebanese Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Ragi "instructed Lebanon's Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York to submit an urgent complaint to the Security Council and the UN Secretary-General."
The statement added, "The complaint concerns Israeli warplanes launching raids on a group of bulldozer and excavator showrooms on the Musaylih-Zahrani road in Sidon District, resulting in the deaths and injuries of a number of civilians and significant damage to the targeted commercial establishments."
Rajai requested that Lebanon's permanent mission in New York "publish the letter of complaint and distribute it as an official document to all member states of the Security Council," according to the statement.
On Saturday, the official Lebanese National News Agency reported that the Israeli occupation army launched a series of raids on bulldozer and excavator showrooms, killing one person, wounding seven others, destroying more than 300 vehicles, including bulldozers and excavators, and causing additional material damage estimated at millions of dollars.
The agency described this aggression as "the largest targeting a purely economic zone since the end of the 1966-day war," referring to the most recent Israeli war on the country.
In October 2023, Israel launched an aggression against Lebanon, which in September 2024 escalated into a full-scale war, killing more than 4,000 people and wounding approximately 17,000 others, in addition to 19 prisoners.
Despite a ceasefire agreement reached between Hezbollah and Israel in November 2024, the latter has violated it more than 4,500 times, resulting in hundreds of deaths and injuries.
In defiance of the agreement, Israel occupies five Lebanese hills it seized in the last war, in addition to other areas it has occupied for decades.
