Minister of Communication and Digital (Menkomdigi) Meutya Hafid said that the government has built 397 Base Transceiver Stations (BTS) in the Papua region during the one-year term of the Red and White Cabinet (KMP).
According to Meutya, the infrastructure development has opened up internet access to nearly 2,000 locations across various regions in Papua. This development is part of the Ministry of Communication and Digital's (Kemkomdigi) efforts to strengthen network infrastructure in underdeveloped, frontier, and outermost (3T) regions.
"The principle of the digital infrastructure pillar is how infrastructure development continues, especially in the 3T (frontier and remote) regions. 397 base transceiver stations (BTS) have been built in Papua since October 20th. This provides access to nearly 2,000 locations in Papua," Meutya said when met.
