North Sumatra won three gold medals from wushu at the 2025 National Martial Arts Games in Kudus, Central Java, after sending six athletes to the final at the Kaliputu Sports Hall in Kudus on Sunday.
The three gold medals were won by Ardianti Rizki Putri (women's 60kg), Ydris Talenta Barus (men's 48kg), and Fereddy Sinaga (women's 52kg).
North Sumatra also won three silver and three bronze medals from this sport.
When the silver was won by Eli Elisius Brahmana in the 56 kg class after losing to Boston Siagian from DKI Jakarta, Benny Hutagalung from the 60 kg class after losing to Bintang Reindra Nada from Central Java and Rosando Mangihut Sinaga who surrendered to Abdul Harris from DKI.
The three bronze medals were won by Roasa Beatric Malau in the women's 48kg, Catrian Nadia Ginting in the women's 52kg and Elsanda Sitio in the women's 56kg.
North Sumatra also won a bronze medal from Kelly Earlene Irwin in the women's dao shu event. Kelly also won a bronze medal in the women's gun shu event.
