OpenAI CEO Sam Altman announced that his company plans to open wider access to ChatGPT chatbot conversations , including those with erotic nuances, for verified adult users starting next December.
With the system's ability to differentiate between child and adult users, OpenAI is now preparing a new policy that allows more freedom over the content ChatGPT can display to adult users.
“In December, when the age restriction system is fully implemented and as part of our ‘treating adults like adults’ principle, we will allow more, including erotic content for verified adult users,” Altman said in a post on X, quoted on Thursday.
According to an Engadget report, some users have attempted to manipulate ChatGPT to generate sensitive or erotic conversations. However, Altman's statement indicates OpenAI's official acknowledgement that such use cases will be openly accommodated by adult users.
