Pelita Jaya Basketball has officially extended the contract of one of its young players, Hendrick Xavi Yonga, to maintain the squad for the new 2026 IBL season.

In the upload, the player, who is familiarly known as Dede, was seen signing a new contract with the team's management, although there was no information about the length of the new contract.
This contract extension signals that Pelita Jaya doesn't want to lose one of the team's key talents. Hendrick's presence is seen as an effort to maintain the continuity of young player development, which is the hallmark of the Jakarta club.
Hendrick Xavi Yonga's name began to steal the spotlight after playing for the Indonesia Patriots in the 2021 IBL season. As the son of the late Indonesian football legend, Francis Yonga, Dede chose a different path by pursuing basketball and showed great potential from the start of his professional career.
