Samsung is reportedly planning to continue offering the Plus model in its flagship smartphone series, the Galaxy S26 series, next year, after the company previously planned to remove the model next year.
This report was first revealed by The Elec which stated that the development of the model was known after the company developed a cellphone with the code name "M Plus" which is suspected to be the Galaxy S26+ as reported by Gizmochina, Thursday.
Initially, Samsung only prepared three phones to be developed as flagship phones in 2026 with several code names, namely M1 for the Galaxy S26, then there was M2 for the Galaxy S26 Edge, and M3 for the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
The initial idea was that the Plus model would be replaced by the Edge model, which offers a slim design but still maintains the price relevance between the regular and Ultra model options.
