The Indonesian equestrian archery team (HBA) achieved success at the 2025 International Horseback Archery Alliance World Championships at Tennessee Valley Archery, USA.
Ranked second behind the overall champion, Indonesia's performance was further enhanced by the success of Kaisar Akhtar Firdauz and Omar El Farooq Putra Alleut, who broke the world record in the prestigious event.
"This is a source of pride for the Indonesian HBA world. We congratulate the Indonesian HBA Team and express our highest appreciation for the world record achieved by Akhtar and Omar," said Indonesian team manager Ali Fathi Assegaf in a written statement on Friday.
He also thanked the General Chairman of PP Pordasi, Mr. Aryo PS Djojohadikusumo, who had fully supported the athletes' participation in the world championship.
Akhtar broke the world record in the junior category with 147.97 points, while Omar in the Young Rider Category with 144.41 points.
Omar contributed 2 silver medals from the young individual and overall individual categories.
Omar also won two bronze medals and one silver medal in the team event category.
