The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi) is consolidating digital training data to optimize its digital talent development program in Indonesia.
Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital, Nezar Patria, explained that the Ministry of Communication and Digital will consolidate data on digital training conducted by ministries/institutions, global technology companies, technology education institutions, and public bodies at the central and regional levels.
"We'll try to collect the data and then we'll review it, map it, and eventually come up with guidelines to further sharpen, streamline, and optimize digital talent training programs in Indonesia," Nezar said at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs office in Jakarta on Friday.
According to him, currently many government institutions and technology companies are holding digital talent training, with progress being assessed as positive in producing new digital talent.
Therefore, data consolidation efforts are needed to map the distribution of digital talent capabilities in Indonesia, as well as the availability and demand.
