The U-17 women's national team coach revealed the main reason for their defeat against Myanmar.

Indonesian U-17 women's national team coach Simon Scheunemann revealed the main reason his team suffered a 0-1 defeat to Myanmar at Thuwunna Stadium, Yangon, Myanmar, on Friday.

In the final match of the 2026 U-17 Women's Asian Cup Qualifiers Group C, Simon explained that this defeat was because 10 of his 11 players did not perform at their best on the field.

"It was a very tough defeat, a very tough one. If you've ever played football before, the toughest defeat is when you should have won, but you lose," Simon said after the match on Friday.

"This was a game we should have won if we played our best. And 10 of our 11 players didn't play well, 10 of our 11 players played badly, so we couldn't get a good result," he added.

In this match, Myanmar's only winning goal was scored in first-half added time by player number 10 Shin Thant Phyu Sin Pyone.

Sin Pyone's shot wasn't too powerful, but it was enough to beat Indonesian goalkeeper Alleana.
