Manchester United (MU) manager Ruben Amorim admitted he was overwhelmed during his first season with the club in the 2024/2025 Premier League.
"Last season, I was always overwhelmed by the games. I didn't seem to have time to relax, to understand that my job isn't just on the pitch, but also off it: motivating everyone on the team," Amorim said, as quoted on Manchester United's official website on Friday.
The 40-year-old said that last season, he found it difficult to maintain emotional stability due to the overwhelming workload as a tactician at MU, one of the biggest clubs in the world.
The intense public attention and pressure made Amorim waver for a while, but he slowly found the rhythm to lead MU to victory.
"I've always said this process takes time, but I'm the one with the greater responsibility to take care of everything," he said.
