Spanish La Liga club Barcelona set a record despite losing 0-3 to Chelsea in the 2025/2026 UEFA Champions League match, early Wednesday morning WIB.
Quoted from the Barcelona website, after losing to Chelsea, Barcelona failed to record a record of always scoring at least one goal in 54 consecutive matches.
However, the record of 53 matches consistently scoring goals is a record for Barcelona, breaking the previous record of 44 matches achieved in 1944.
This 53-match record lasted almost a year. Prior to the Chelsea match, Barcelona's last goalless draw was on December 15, 2024, against Leganes in La Liga.
Since then, Barcelona have scored at least one goal in 33 league games, 12 UEFA Champions League matches, six Copa del Rey matches and two in the Spanish Super Cup.
