Minister of Communication and Digital (Wamenkomdigi) Nezar Patria said that PP Tunas is a form of the government's commitment to creating a safe digital space for children.Nezar believes that the risks and challenges faced when interacting with the digital world need to be mitigated, especially for vulnerable groups such as women and children.
" Online gender- based violence , misuse of technology such as deepfakes , information falsification, and cyberattacks also frequently target women and children," Nezar was quoted as saying in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Therefore, the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi) is committed to realizing a safe and comfortable digital space for everyone.
One form of this is the issuance of Government Regulation Number 17 of 2025 concerning the Governance of the Implementation of Electronic Systems in Child Protection or PP Tunas.
