WhatsApp announced upcoming changes to its terms of service, which will prohibit users from using non-Meta AI chatbots.
As reported by Gsmarena on Wednesday local time, this new provision means that third-party chatbots will no longer be allowed within the messaging app.
This change will take effect on January 15, 2026, which is also the last date WhatsApp Business users will be able to use ChatGPT, Copilot, and other non-Meta AI chatbots within the messaging app.
