Cambodia has reportedly announced its withdrawal from eight sports, including men's football, at the 2025 SEA Games to be held in Thailand, according to Vietnamese media outlet Vietbao and Thai media outlet Siamsport on Thursday.
If this were true, Cambodia would only participate in 13 sports.
According to the latest information from Siamsport, Cambodia has officially announced its withdrawal from the 33rd SEA Games, which will take place on November 9–20, 2025 in Thailand.
Previously, Cambodia had stated that it would not participate in billiards and Muay Thai.
According to documents sent by the Cambodian Olympic Committee to the SEA Games Organizing Committee, they will attract athletes from eight additional sports, namely judo, karate, pencak silat, petanque, wrestling, wushu, football, and sepak takraw.
