Celtics end Pistons' 13-game winning streak, failing to make history
The Boston Celtics ended the Detroit Pistons' 13-game winning streak after winning 117-114 in the NBA Cup match in Boston on Thursday WIB, preventing the Pistons from making history by achieving 14 consecutive wins for the first time.

The Celtics capitalized on the momentum in the final four minutes when Derrick White scored 11 of his 27 points to turn the game around. Celtics star Jaylen Brown also provided the scoring machine with 33 points and 10 rebounds.

Detroit had a chance to match or even break the club's winning streak, previously set in the 1989-90 and 2003-04 seasons. However, that opportunity was lost after Cade Cunningham's execution was not entirely successful.

Cunningham finished with 42 points and nearly tied the game when he was fouled near the midfield line while preparing to shoot a three-pointer. After a review, the referee determined he was in the act of shooting when the foul was called, resulting in three free throws.
