The Indonesian Water Ski and Wakeboard Association (PSAWI) is increasing competition simulations for athletes ahead of the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand in December."We've reduced the intensity of our training. We'll be doing more simulations (competitions), as we did the previous two days and today," said Febrianto Kadir, coach of the Indonesian National Water Ski and Wakeboard Team, in Jakarta on Thursday.
He conveyed this in a discussion with the Chef de Mission (CdM) of the Indonesian Contingent for the 2025 SEA Games, Bayu Priawan Djokosoetono, who monitored the PB PSAWI training camp at Sunter Lake, North Jakarta.
Febrianto explained that the athletes had been undergoing training camp since October 1. Over the past month and a half, the coaching team had provided intensive training to the athletes.
Currently, he continued, athletes are no longer undergoing intensive training, but are instead entering a simulation phase to pursue their best achievements.
"Currently, the athletes are reaching their peak performance. Those who haven't yet reached their peak , we will work on them until the last week before heading to Thailand," he said.
