Actor and sports activist Chicco Jerikho reminded the public and beginners to start physical activity gradually to avoid injury and maintain long-term consistency.
According to him, many people, such as runners or weightlifters, want to get maximum results immediately, without preparing the basic foundation first.
"For example, if you're running, you can start by taking a leisurely walk and then gradually progress to running. Just aim for it gradually, and you don't need to go far," Chicco said after attending a press conference for the 2026 Planet Sports Run.
