Curry is out for at least a week with a quadriceps injury.

Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is set to miss at least a week of the 2025-2026 NBA season after suffering a bruised and strained right quadriceps muscle during a 100-104 loss against the Houston Rockets.

The NBA website stated Friday that the point guard had undergone an MRI and would be re-evaluated in the next week by the Warriors' medical team.

"It changes everything, from rotations to how we play," said Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr.

However, he said a quadriceps injury was more of a relief than an ankle or knee injury, and hoped the player would recover quickly.

"We want him to be fully recovered so he has the best chance to be great," added Curry's teammate, Jimmy Butler.
