Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Taufik Hidayat said the National Sports Grand Design (DBON) will be revised with more reasonable and realistic targets for Indonesian sports achievements."We will revise the DBON and take care of it because our targets are not yet clear (in the current DBON)," said Taufik Hidayat at a press conference for the MAIR 2025 Jakarta International 10K running event in Jakarta on Wednesday.
The Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports said that he was also one of the parties who criticized the current DBON because it contained sports achievement targets that he considered unrealistic.
He gave an example of Indonesia's target of ranking in the top five in the 2044 Olympics.
"For me (that target) is unrealistic," he said.
The Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports stated that building achievements cannot be done instantly, so it requires time that must be determined realistically with considerations that can be clearly calculated.
Therefore, he said, the current DBON will be revised with achievement targets that can be achieved within a certain time period.
