IBL-BNN collaborate on anti-drugs in the basketball environment
The Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) is collaborating with the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) and the Indonesian Basketball Association (Perbasi) to strengthen efforts to create healthy competition by building a safe, clean, and drug-free basketball ecosystem.

In a statement received in Jakarta on Wednesday, BNN Chief Inspector General Suyudi Ario Seto expressed his appreciation for the IBL's move, which he called an important initiative to protect the sports environment from the threat of narcotics.

He emphasized that sports have a strategic role in forming the positive character of the younger generation, so all supporting elements need to be continuously strengthened.

During the meeting, the IBL, BNN, and Perbasi discussed concrete steps to expand their collaboration, including athlete education, public outreach, and awareness campaigns on the dangers of drug abuse. This collaboration is positioned as a preventative measure targeting the basketball community as a whole.

Secretary General of the DPP Perbasi Nirmala Dewi and Head of Legal and Ethics Fritz Edward Siregar, who attended the meeting of the three stakeholders at the BNN Office  expressed their full support for strengthening the integrity of competitions and athlete health, and said that this step is in line with the federation's agenda in maintaining the quality of basketball coaching in Indonesia.
