Indonesian swimmer Muhammad Dzulfikar Izzaturrahman successfully passed the mental test with a brilliant performance at the 2025 Asian Junior Finswimming Competition which took place at the Aquatic Stadium, Gelora Bung Karno Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday.
Dzulfikar, who competed in the 200 Bi Fins Men's category, was the fastest after recording a time of 1 minute 41.42 seconds.
His compatriot Frederico Owen, who finished with a time of 1 minute 42.00 seconds, was unable to catch up. Thailand's Thanakrit Choosawasd finished third with a time of 1 minute 44.21 seconds.
"The challenge (of competing in this championship) is like a mental test," Dzulfikar told reporters.
