Fermin Lopez suffers injury, Barcelona confirms he will be out for two weeks  Barcelona's young midfielder, Fermin Lopez, is confirmed to be out for around two weeks due to a soleus muscle injury in his right leg.

This announcement comes after Barcelona suffered a disappointing 0-3 defeat to Chelsea in the Champions League on Wednesday (26/11).

"First-team player Fermín Lopez has a minor injury to the soleus muscle in his right leg. His estimated recovery time is around two weeks," Barcelona said in a statement on their official social media accounts on Thursday.

Due to this injury, Fermin is expected to miss three LaLiga matches against Deportivo Alaves (29/11), Atletico Madrid (2/12), and Real Betis (7/12) as well as one important match against Eintracht Frankfurt (10/12) in the Champions League.

Losing Fermin is a big blow for coach Hansi Flick, considering the 22-year-old has been in top form this season.

He has contributed seven goals in all competitions this season and has been one of the most consistent players in Barcelona's midfield.

Barcelona's injury problems had previously eased. Goalkeeper Joan Garcia and winger Raphinha had returned to fitness after the international break. Hansi Flick also hopes to have Pedri back in the squad this weekend against Alaves.
