Indonesian U-22 national team player Kadek Arel Priyatna believes Ivar Jenner is worthy of being the captain of the Young Garuda after FC Utrecht led the team in their first friendly match against Mali U-22 at Pakansari Stadium, Bogor, Saturday.
"That's very good, because we know Ivar has a lot of experience," Kadek told reporters during team training at Gelora Bung Karno Madya Stadium in Jakarta on Monday.
Kadek himself was the previous captain of this team, when it was still led by coach Gerald Vanenburg in the 2025 AFF U-23 Cup and the 2026 U-23 Asian Cup Qualifiers.
When the team's captaincy was handed over to Indra Sjafri, Kadek was still trusted as captain in the first trial match against India last month.
