Mixed doubles pair Jafar Hidayatullah and Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu complete the list of seven Indonesian representatives who have reached the semifinals of the 2025 Australian Open.
They successfully defeated the fifth seeds from Denmark, Mathias Christiansen/Alexandra Boje, in the quarter-finals at Quaycentre, Olympic Boulevard, Friday, with a score of 17-21, 21-14, 21-13.
"We're not entirely satisfied with our performance, but we were able to withstand the opponent's attacks, communicated well, and played consistently," Felisha said in a statement from PBSI.
He appreciated Boje/Christiansen's aggressive play which made the match tight.
Meanwhile, Jafar emphasized that his main focus is recovering his condition before facing the semifinals and maintaining his chances in the World Tour Finals.
"It's up to us or the Thai pair to decide who will advance to the World Tour Finals. The most important thing is that we can't focus too much on the results. We want to focus on playing well first," said Jafar.
