Boxer Jake Paul admitted that Anthony Joshua's brilliant career track record, winning Olympic gold and becoming a two-time world heavyweight champion, makes him a little afraid.
"I'm not going to lie, I'm a little scared (of fighting Anthony Joshua)," Jake Paul said on his YouTube channel, which was monitored in Jakarta, Wednesday.
Paul's fight against Joshua was made possible by a sudden interruption after his planned bout against Gervonta Davis was canceled due to a lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend who accused him of domestic violence.
Paul and his team finally decided to postpone the fight with Davis and look for an opponent until they reached an agreement with Anthony Joshua (AJ) to fight in Miami, United States on December 19.
The American is not underestimating the dangers of fighting someone like Joshua, which is by far his toughest test yet, having come mostly against experienced UFC fighters and middleweights.
