The National Paralympic Committee (NPC) of Jayapura Regency, Papua, explained that its athletes have once again brought honor to Papua by winning three gold medals in athletics at the 11th Peparnas DKI Jakarta event.
Jayapura Regency NPC Chairman Renaldy Tokoro, in a text message to ANTARA in Sentani, Saturday, said the achievement was achieved thanks to the hard work of the athletes who competed on the Ragunan Field track.
"Praise the Lord Jesus, we were able to win a gold medal through Bernadus Zadrak Waipon and his partner Frans Marcelino Doyapo in the athletics event," he said.
According to Renaldy, in the match, the Jayapura Regency contingent managed to win one gold medal from Frans Marcelino Doyapo and one silver medal from Bernadus Zadrak Waipon.
