Houston Rockets superstar Kevin Durant missed Monday's NBA game against the Phoenix Suns due to personal reasons.
The NBA website said Durant's absence delayed his return to Phoenix, the city he played for the previous two and a half seasons.
Ahead of the game, the Rockets announced Durant's status on the injury report. The 37-year-old is out and will not play.
However, later the basketball player's absence was not due to injury, but rather non-technical reasons and the club did not announce it clearly.
Durant spent two and a half seasons with the Suns from midway through the 2022-2023 season to 2024-2025, appearing in 145 regular-season games and averaging 26.8 points per game (ppg).
In July, he moved to Houston in a seven-team trade that sent Dillon Brooks, Jalen Green, and the No. 10 pick in the NBA Draft to Phoenix.
