World Boxing Council (WBC) and World Boxing Organization (WBO) super flyweight champion Jesse Rodriguez knocked out Fernando Martinez to capture the World Boxing Association (WBA) title at the ANB Arena, Saudi Arabia.
"Rodriguez scored a KO in the 10th round after delivering a powerful left uppercut that left his opponent defenseless," the WBC wrote on its website, which was monitored in Jakarta on Monday.
Rodriguez put on a stunning boxing performance from the start, fighting with intelligence, speed and ruthless precision.
The turning point of the fight came in the 10th round when the boxer nicknamed "Bam" avoided Martinez's right hand and immediately responded with a powerful left hand, which instantly knocked Martinez down.
