Quoted from UEFA's official website on Wednesday, Maresca said this was a big win for Chelsea because they beat a team of Barcelona's stature.
"Nothing has changed in terms of our team and what we can achieve. Even when it's 11 against 11, we're happy because our level of play is good," explained Maresca.
"Barcelona were comfortable in possession, but they weren't so comfortable on the other side. We focused on possession and always tried to create chances," he added.
In this match, Chelsea secured victory thanks to an own goal by Jules Kounde plus goals from Estevao and Liam Delap, after Barcelona had previously played with 10 men since the 44th minute after defender Ronald Araujo was sent off by the referee for receiving a second yellow card.
