The Ministry of Tourism (Kemenpar) said that environmental sustainability is the foundation for developing a sustainable tourism sector, so every region needs to strengthen its strategic ecological position.
"The environment and tourism are inseparable in promoting the visual appeal of a region. A well-maintained environment will leave a unique impression on visitors," said Yohanes De Brito TH, Assistant Deputy for Meetings, Incentive Travel, Conventions, and Exhibitions at the Ministry of Tourism, while attending the opening of the 2025 Tomini Bay Festival (FTT) in Parigi, Parigi Moutong Regency.
He explained that the Ministry of Tourism continues to encourage every tourist destination in Indonesia to not only sell visual beauty but also highlight local stories, values, and identities.
