A national flyweight championship belt fight and eight international bouts will feature at the One Pride MMA Fight Night 88 “Battle for Glory” event, which will be held at HW Superhouse Satrio, South Jakarta, on Sunday (2/11).
Chairman of the Indonesian Martial Arts Committee (KOBI), Anindra Ardiansyah Bakrie, said at a press conference in Jakarta on Saturday that the presence of fighters from China and Malaysia was an important step in expanding the scope of the competition to a global level.
"We hope this step will encourage the development of the Indonesian MMA scene to become more advanced and competitive. Through strong collaboration, we can build a larger, more solid, and more competitive martial arts ecosystem," said Ardiansyah, known as Ardie Bakrie.
A total of 10 fights will be presented at this event, including eight international matches featuring international fighters.
The main fight will bring together Aditya Ginting (9 wins 5 losses, 9-5) who is the defending national flyweight champion, against Rio Tirto (8 wins 1 loss, 8-1) who is the challenger and arch enemy.
This fight is one of the most anticipated by MMA fans because it has been postponed several times, and now it will be the peak of their rivalry in the One Pride octagon.
