NTB racer wins overall National Sport 250cc MRS Mandalika Circuit

  West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) racer Arai Agaska managed to secure the overall championship in the National Sport 2500cc Mandalika Racing Series (MRS) race, despite finishing in fourth place in the second race held at the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit, Sunday.


Meanwhile, Murobbil Vitoni (157), who is the closest competitor in the fight for the championship title, is undergoing treatment in hospital, after crashing in the first race which was held on Saturday (1/11).


The points difference between the championship leader and runner-up Yamaha Arai Agaska (P5) was initially only 11 points, so the title was decided in the superpole race and race 2 which were held on Sunday.


Arai, who started from eighth position, finished in fourth position and managed to gain 15 points, thus becoming the overall champion in the 2500cc MRS class.




"I dedicate this victory to my family, team, and Murobbil who is currently undergoing treatment. I hope he gets well soon," said Arai Agaska.


Meanwhile, fellow NTB racer Aldiaz managed to maintain his first podium position after being the fastest in race two.


Then the second podium was won by Irfan Aldiansyah and the third podium was won by Honda team racer Andi Farid.


In the first race, Saturday (1/11), Aldiaz Aqsa Ismaya (69) from Yamaha Yamalube BAF Akai Jaya MBKW2 Racing Team performed extraordinarily by starting from pole position.
