Pecco Bagnaia says his first day at the Portuguese MotoGP was positive

Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaia was quite pleased with the results of the first day of the 2025 Portuguese MotoGP at the Algarve International Circuit on Friday, after he advanced to Qualifying 2 (Q2) after finishing second in the practice session.

"Overall, I think the situation is positive at the moment," said Bagnaia, as quoted from the official Ducati Corse website, Saturday.

Bagnaia had a rocky start to the first day of the Portuguese MotoGP after making a mistake with his front tire selection, which prevented him from finding pace in the first free practice session (FP1). In this session, Bagnaia recorded a fastest lap time of 1 minute 40.306 seconds.

In the second session, the 2022 and 2023 world champion corrected his mistakes. With a better tire choice, Bagnaia felt more comfortable on the bike, climbing to second place in the practice session.
