Persebaya Surabaya was held to a 1-1 draw by Arema FC in the 13th week of the 2025 BRI Super League at Gelora Bung Tomo (GBT) Stadium on Saturday.
In the match, Arema FC scored the first goal in the 63rd minute after Dime Dimov scored an own goal. Persebaya's reply came from Bruno Moreira in the 73rd minute.
With this draw, Persebaya still occupies 8th position with 16 points, while Arema FC also remains in 9th position with the same points.
Persebaya, who played with a 4-2-3-1 formation, tried to put pressure on the ball from the start of the first half by applying high pressing to break down Arema FC's defense, but the visiting team was still able to dampen the pressure.
The Bajol Ijo squad got a golden opportunity in the 6th minute through a corner kick, but Bruno's header after receiving a pass from Gali Frietas was still not on target.
Arema FC, using a 4-3-3 formation, tried to respond with a counter-attack from the right side of Persebaya's defense, but this effort did not produce any significant threat.
