Politico reports that Britain plans to ban phone apps that edit photos to show people naked, which are being misused in content creation

The newspaper explained that these applications, which contain the "nudity" feature, use deepfake techniques to remove clothes from people's photos, and then employ artificial intelligence to superimpose naked body parts into the final image.

She added that the UK government intends to propose banning these apps as part of its strategy to combat violence against women and girls, under pressure from activists fighting deepfake-based sexual violence.

Last April, Apple removed apps that use neural networks to remove women's clothing from photos from the App Store, because they allow the creation of nude images of people without their knowledge or consent, which violates the company's standards and exposes individuals to abuse.

It is worth noting that the Comedy Woman star had previously complained about such apps that damage people's reputations by "exposing" them in photos.
