Preparing six of its best athletes, Pertacami aims for two gold medals from the SEA Games.

The Indonesian Mixed Fighting Association (PB Pertacami) is targeting two gold medals from six top mixed martial arts (MMA) athletes who are being prepared to compete in the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand next month.

"Specifically, we are targeting two gold medals based on the evaluation results and the athletes' track records at the international level," said PB Pertacami Chairman Tommy Paulus Hermawan to ANTARA in Jakarta on Thursday.

Pertacami will field six traditional MMA and modern MMA athletes, namely Alifan Bagus Fernanda who will compete in the men's traditional MMA 56 kg category, Dwi Ani Retno Wulan (women's traditional MMA 54 kg).

Then Alfiandi (men's modern MMA 60 kg), Albert (men's modern MMA 60 kg), Vallensia Fahira Hotmauli (women's modern MMA 54 kg), and Maydelse Sitepu (women's modern MMA 60 kg).

Tommy explained that all athletes were the best squad selected based on their technical performance, physical readiness, and international experience.

His team has identified at least two potential gold medal contenders. However, Tommy declined to name the seeded athletes, as he believes all the athletes fielded are top-tier talents with the potential to deliver a surprise performance.
