PSSI, Freeport, PFA and KNVB hold coaching courses in Timika

The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI), through PT Garuda Sepak Bola Indonesia (GSI), in collaboration with PT Freeport Indonesia, held a 2025 coaching course at the Papua Football Academy (PFA), Timika, from November 20 to 22.

This initiative aims to strengthen the development of youth football in Papua. The program is implemented in collaboration with the Papua Football Academy and the Dutch Football Federation (KNVB).

"This collaboration with the Papua Football Academy (PFA) and the Dutch Football Federation (KNVB) represents PSSI's commitment, along with PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI), to continue improving youth football through coaching courses," said PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir, as quoted from the PSSI's official website on Saturday.

"Training with qualified coaches is crucial and has a positive impact on the development of young players. We want more young Papuan talent to become the future stars of Indonesian football," he continued.
