Arsenal will have to be at their best to beat Tottenham

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said his squad must be at their best to defeat Tottenham Hotspur in their 2025/2026 Premier League match at the Emirates Stadium in London on Sunday (23/11).

"We'll have to be very, very good to beat them," Arteta said, as quoted on Arsenal's website on Saturday.

Arteta said Arsenal must not be complacent in this match because Tottenham also have big ambitions to win.

Not only that, the Spanish tactician also said that emotional control was also important in the North London derby match.

"The players shouldn't get too excited. However, the players' work on the pitch should ideally be harder than in other matches," said Arteta.

One of the advantages Arsenal have in that match, he stressed, is that they are playing at home.

That provides significant leverage to continue Arsenal's dominance over the visitors. In the Premier League, Tottenham's last victory over Arsenal came in 2022, and that was at Tottenham's home ground.
