Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank said the North London derby against Arsenal in the 2025/2026 Premier League season at the Emirates Stadium in London on Sunday (23/11) is crucial.
"I've always said our next game (against Arsenal) is very important. We'll face this game twice (in the Premier League), and this is one of them. Of course, we're ready for it and really looking forward to it," Frank said, as quoted on Tottenham Hotspur's official website on Saturday.
Frank, who will be playing his first North London derby in the league, said that everyone at Tottenham, from the players to the staff, treats the match against Arsenal as a big one.
To that end, the 52-year-old tactician prepared his team to the maximum. They anticipated Arsenal's strengths and weaknesses. One aspect Frank closely monitored was Arsenal's ability to score goals from dead-ball situations.
So far, Arsenal have scored 12 goals from set pieces in the 2025/2026 Premier League, more than any other team in the Premier League.
"That's a big challenge for us. However, we also hold the record for the fewest goals conceded from set pieces. So, that's not bad. If we want to beat Arsenal, we have to win dead-ball situations. I think we can do that," said Frank.
