The host team, Riffa, put in a brilliant performance on the first day of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Manama Final 2025 held in Bahrain on Friday (21/11), after securing a place in the quarterfinals with a dramatic victory over Vienna.
The FIBA 3x3 website reported on Saturday that Riffa had started the match unconvincingly after losing to Serbian giants Ub in their opening group stage match.
The defeat makes the match against Vienna a deciding factor in their chances of advancing to the knockout stages.
The match was tight from the start and went into extra time. A 21-21 draw was finally broken when Mohamed Mohamed scored the winning shot, sending the home crowd into raptures, celebrating Riffa's progress to the quarterfinals.
