School principal killed in Israeli raid on town in southern Lebanon

The agency reported that an attack by an "enemy drone targeted the town of Al-Mansouri, resulting in the martyrdom of its school principal, Muhammad Shweikh."

Footage posted on social media showed flames rising from the targeted vehicle, while residents of the area tried to extinguish them in an attempt to rescue its driver.

Since the US-brokered ceasefire came into effect on November 27, 2024, Israel has continued to violate it on a daily basis, particularly in southern Lebanon.

That agreement attempted to stop an Israeli aggression against Lebanon that began in October 2023 and then turned into a full-scale war in September 2024, during which more than 4,000 people were killed and about 17,000 others were injured.

Israel continues to defy the agreement by maintaining its occupation of five Lebanese hills in the south that it seized in the last war, in addition to other Lebanese areas that it has occupied for decades.
