Shandong Province makes new efforts to achieve carbon neutrality

In 2020, China announced it would strive to achieve peak carbon dioxide emissions before 2030 and carbon neutrality before 2060.

In recent years, Shandong Province in eastern China has made great efforts to contribute to achieving this target.

This coastal province is leveraging its topographical advantages to develop green energy, both on land and at sea, while building non-fossil energy infrastructure.

The province plans projects integrating wind and solar power transmission and storage in saline-alkali tidal zones, as well as a clean energy base primarily relying on photovoltaic power in areas experiencing land subsidence due to coal mining.

Meanwhile, Shandong Province is also actively developing the energy equipment industry, creating a favorable environment for progress in both the transformation of the new energy structure and the development of the energy equipment industry.
