The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating the handover of money to a suspect in the alleged corruption case involving the construction project for the East Kolaka Regional General Hospital, Southeast Sulawesi.
KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said the anti-corruption agency conducted this investigation when questioning a warehouse staff member of KSO PT PCP, PT RBM, and PT PA with the initials TAS as a witness on November 21, 2025.
"Witness TAS's knowledge regarding the transfer of money from the giver to one of the suspects in this case is being questioned," Budi told journalists in Jakarta on Saturday.
Previously, on August 9, 2025, the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) announced five suspects in an alleged corruption case involving the construction of the Regional General Hospital in East Kolaka Regency after conducting a sting operation (OTT).
The five suspects are the Regent of East Kolaka for the 2024–2029 period Abdul Azis (ABZ), the person responsible for the construction of the Andi Lukman Hakim Regional General Hospital (ALH) at the Ministry of Health, the official who made the commitment for the East Kolaka Regional General Hospital construction project, Ageng Dermanto (AGD), and two employees of PT Pilar Cadas Putra, namely Deddy Karnady (DK) and Arif Rahman (AR).
Deddy Karnady and Arif Rahman are accused of giving bribes, while Abdul Azis, Andi Lukman Hakim, and Ageng Dermanto are accused of receiving bribes.
On November 6, 2025, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) announced three new suspects in the case. However, their identities have not yet been made public.
The alleged corruption case related to the construction of the Regional General Hospital in East Kolaka is the upgrade of Class D Regional General Hospital facilities to Class C with a project value of IDR 126.3 billion sourced from special allocation funds (DAK).
The project is part of the Ministry of Health's program to improve the quality of 12 regional general hospitals (RSUD) using Ministry of Health funds, and 20 regional general hospitals using DAK in the health sector.
For this program, the Ministry of Health allocated funds of IDR 4.5 trillion in 2025.
