The Indonesian badminton team added three gold medals from the 2025 ASG individual event.
The Indonesian badminton team closed the individual event of the 2025 ASEAN School Games (ASG) by winning three gold medals, three silver medals, and two bronze medals in the event held in Brunei Darussalam, November 20-28.

The additional medals in the individual event complement the two gold medals previously won by Indonesia in the team event. Indonesia's dominance was evident in all three events, with all-Indonesian finals in the men's singles, men's doubles, and women's doubles events.

In the men's singles, Fardhan Rainanda Joe emerged as the champion after defeating his partner Denis Azzarya with a score of 21-18, 21-17.

A tight match ensued in the men's doubles final, as M. Rizki Mubarrok and Raihan Daffa Edsel Pramono faced top seeds Anju Siahaan and Faizal Pangestu. Mubarrok and Edsel had to go through three games before securing a 17-21, 21-19, 22-20 victory.

"Thank God, everything went smoothly. This is in line with our target and hope of winning a gold medal," said Edsel in his official statement on Thursday.

"The final was the toughest match, as we were facing our own teammates. The points were always tight. After this, our goal is to enter the national training camp," he added.

Meanwhile, the pair Selsi Josika/Yasintha Ristyna Putri secured the women's doubles gold after defeating Atresia Naufa Candani/Aurelia Syakira Putri 21-16, 21-18.

Meanwhile, two bronze medals were won in the women's singles by Mayla Cahya Afilian Pratiwi and Jolin Angelia.
