The Indonesian Muaythai team was eliminated in the quarterfinals after three representatives suffered defeats to their opponents in the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games (ISG) Riyadh in Saudi Arabia.
In a statement from the Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI) in Jakarta, Thursday, the Indonesian Muaythai Team fielded two female athletes, namely Angelina Runtukahu and Antonia Bui Ola, as well as male athlete Ardiansyah.
Angelina Runtukahu, who competed in the 50-55 kilogram (kg) class, opened her campaign with a convincing victory over host representative Dana Algussein (Saudi Arabia) with a score of 20-18 in the round of 16.
However, in the quarter-finals, Angelina had to admit the superiority of United Arab Emirates athlete Zineb Bouhmada after being unable to continue the first round at 9-10.
In the women's 55–60 kg class, Antonia Bui Ola, who immediately advanced to the quarter-finals, also had to end her struggle after losing to Saudi Arabian fighter Soha Alfar with a narrow score of 28-29.
