The Minister of Manpower monitors the 2025 Internship program at BNI, encouraging equality in the regions.

Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Yassierli monitored the implementation of the 2025 National Internship program at one of PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk's offices in Jakarta on Friday to ensure the training was running according to its objectives.

During the visit, Yassierli spoke with interns placed at the head office and several branches regarding their daily tasks, work experiences, and the challenges they have faced so far.

"BNI is one of the largest absorbers of interns, with around 3,000 to 4,000 participants across Indonesia," said Yassierli at Grha BNI, Jakarta, Friday.

On that occasion, he also encouraged equal internship opportunities for graduates from various regions.

He emphasized the importance of distributing internships so that regional graduates do not have to move to big cities to gain their first work experience.

"We hope this program will provide equal opportunities, not just for Jakarta," he said.

The National Internship Program is designed to reduce the gap between graduate competencies and industry needs through six months of work experience.

This scheme is also considered to speed up the recruitment process in the company.

"Usually, the process from selection to on-the-job training can take six months. With this program, companies already have data on participants' performance. We hope 30 to 50 percent of them can be recruited upon completion," he added.

BNI President Director Putrama Wahju Setyawan said the banking sector needs talent in marketing savings and credit products, so the presence of interns has helped meet human resource needs.

"This program is excellent, so in the past six months we have been able to acquire a lot of talent for our future needs," said Putrama.
