The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs reminds the public to be wary of fake Coretax sites.

The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi) has urged the public to be more vigilant against the increasing circulation of websites claiming to be the Coretax service owned by the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) of the Indonesian Ministry of Finance.

"The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) has reported the existence of a number of fake websites displaying identities similar to those of the Coretax service, making them appear to be official government sites," said Director General of Digital Space Supervision Alexander Sabar in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.

According to Alexander, the emergence of this site has the potential to create the risk of data misuse and improper use of information.

According to official information from the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT), the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (Kemkomdigi) confirmed that all Coretax services can only be accessed through the coretaxdjp.pajak.go.id website.

"We ask the public to always double-check the website address before entering any data. If it's not from the official domain mentioned above, do not proceed," said Alexander.

As part of efforts to monitor and secure digital space, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology carries out supervisory measures in accordance with the authority stipulated in the Minister of Communication and Information Regulation Number 23 of 2013 concerning Domain Name Management.

Alexander explained that his party has been monitoring and evaluating registrars, issuing warning letters if there are violations of domain verification and validation, and implementing a whitelist scheme to ensure that only official domains can be accessed by the public.

"We will block domains that impersonate government services in accordance with existing mechanisms and regulations," he stressed.

He further stated that the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs continues to strengthen coordination with the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) and related parties to ensure the government's digital ecosystem remains secure, reliable, and functions as intended.

The public is encouraged to play an active role by always verifying website addresses before accessing services, and reporting suspicious websites through the official complaint channel at aduankonten.id.
