The POCO F8 Ultra and Pro are believed to have smaller batteries than the Redmi K90.

Xiaomi is preparing the next line of POCO smartphones for global release, namely the POCO F8 series consisting of the POCO F8 Pro and POCO F8 Ultra, which are expected to be released in late 2025 or early 2026.

While both smartphones are said to be global versions of the Redmi K90 series, recent leaks suggest Xiaomi will limit memory configurations and reduce battery capacity compared to the Redmi K90 which was released exclusively in China.

As reported by Gizmochina, Monday (11/10), this information comes from technology leaker Paras Guglani who said that the POCO F8 Ultra will only have a 6500 mAh battery, the capacity of which is much smaller than the Redmi K90 Pro Max which has a 7560 mAh battery. The POCO F8 Ultra itself is estimated to be the global version of the Redmi K90 Pro Max.

Furthermore, the phone will likely launch in only two configurations: 12GB RAM with 256GB storage and 16GB RAM with 512GB storage. The 1TB storage option available in China will not be released globally.

Xiaomi is also rumored to be reducing the color options to Black and Denim Blue, while the Redmi K90 Pro Max offers more color options.
