Two former WBC champions Nicolson and Avila step into the ring to fight for new titles

The World Boxing Council (WBC) announced that two former champions, Skye Nicolson and Yuliahn Luna Avila, will enter the ring on December 13 at the Stokton Arena, California, United States to fight for the WBC interim women's super bantamweight (55.3 kg) title.

"Nicolson, a former WBC women's featherweight world champion, will face off against former WBC women's bantamweight champion Luna Avila for a return to world title contention," the WBC said on its official website, as quoted in Jakarta on Saturday.

Nicolson will return to the ring looking to restore her standing after losing her WBC featherweight title in March when she lost to Tiara Brown.

The loss was the only defeat of his professional career, which reduced Nicolson's record to 14 wins with 3 knockouts (KO) and 1 loss.

The Australian boxer is known for his constant movement, sharp precision and tactical style that frustrates more aggressive opponents.

He entered the ring with a mission to re-establish himself as an elite contender. His back-and-forth boxing style, angle control, and ability to score points without taking unnecessary risks remain his primary weapons.
